Anything above $10k is fully negotiable by either side, and likely only reducing prices, not raising them.

Being military, you can get financing via USAA for 100% of the car, presuming it is not too far removed from NADA or KBB value, or whatever USAA uses to evaluate car prices.

That separates you from other buyers who are going to likely have to pay cash for the entire price of the car or most of the price. For this reason prices are on the floor. These cars simply do not have a large market of buyers looking for them who have 10-15-20k in cash to blow on an old car, especially relative to the supply.

Bottom line: The reality is very few of these cars are worth more than 10-12k anymore, and people asking more than that without some time-capsule TRUE MINT specimen are simply delusional.

Unless you are buying something you would expect to find in Leno's personal collection or collecting dust in Zama, you should not be paying more than 12k for 95% of the Z32s left out there.
